May 2025: News
Meehan, Boyle, Black & Bogdanow, P.C. (MBBB), a leading personal injury and civil litigation firm in Boston, proudly announces the retirement of Managing Director Peter J. Ainsworth, effective July 1, 2025, and the appointment of Jennifer A. Denker as the new Managing Director, effective May 29, 2025.
This leadership transition coincides with MBBB’s 40th anniversary, marking four decades of unwavering commitment to justice and client advocacy.
Peter J. Ainsworth joined MBBB in 2002, initially volunteering his time as a law student to assist with the firm’s pro bono claims before the federal Victim Compensation Fund, aiding families affected by the September 11th tragedies. Over the years, he became one of the firm’s lead trial attorneys, handling complex medical malpractice, product liability, and general liability cases. Notably, he served as lead trial counsel in a multimillion-dollar verdict against an international hotel chain responsible for a wrongful death drowning incident.
Peter has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2018 and has been included in the Massachusetts Super Lawyers listing every year since 2013. He served as the President of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and remains active in multiple bar associations at both state and national levels.
“Leading this firm has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Peter Ainsworth. “I am immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together and have full confidence in Jennifer’s leadership as we enter this exciting new chapter.”
Jennifer A. Denker, who joined MBBB after completing a two-year federal clerkship with the Honorable Janet Bond Arterton in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, has built a distinguished career representing clients in complex civil litigation matters. She has secured significant settlements in high-stakes cases, including wrongful death, sexual assault, and product liability matters.
Jennifer serves as Vice President of the Massachusetts Federal Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Her leadership and experience have made her a go-to resource in the legal community.
“I am honored to step into the role of Managing Director at a firm that has meant so much to me,” said Jennifer Denker. “As we celebrate 40 years of service, I look forward to building upon our legacy and guiding MBBB into a future defined by excellence, compassion, and unwavering dedication to our clients.”
Leo V. Boyle, one of the founding partners of MBBB, reflected on the firm’s milestone and leadership transition. “The practice of law has never seen a finer person than Peter Ainsworth. As our leader, he modeled empathy, integrity, humanity, and loyalty for every one of us. We will miss him dearly, but the good news is that Jenn is more of the same. The torch has been passed to a dynamic, talented, joyful, and worthy successor. I am grateful to both of them.”
