Peter J. Ainsworth Boston, Massachusetts
Before joining Meehan, Boyle, Black & Bogdanow, P.C. as an attorney in December of 2003, he volunteered his time between studies to assist with the firm's several pro bono claims before the federal Victim Compensation Fund. "Helping families who had lost loved ones in the September 11th tragedies was practicing law at its best, and it was a great way to begin my legal career." Leo Boyle was the instrumental in bringing about the Victim Compensation Fund and Lawyers Care, the organization of volunteer attorneys created to help victims' families in the wake of September 11th. "It was truly an honor to be involved with Leo at this historic time," says Peter, "his efforts, and those of everyone at MBBF, stand testament to the fact that being a trial attorney can allow you to help those in need." Mr. Ainsworth received his bachelor's degree in English and Psychology from Boston College in 1993. He was awarded Suffolk University Law School's prestigious David J. Sargent Fellowship in 2000 and graduate cum laude in 2003. He is involved in the day-to-day preparation of MBBF's cases.
